Around the fire with Papa

Picnic at Montezuma Well and swimming after

Aunt Jolan, Britnee, Rayden, Paulo and Paislee came and joined us for a picnic at Montezuma Well. It was such a FUN day and I don't think I have laughed so much and so hard in a LONG time. Auntie Sonda came with Ethan and Ryan to see Shine and her boys while she was here. It is always fun to see her and I love getting together with my sisters. I miss them horribly! Missed having Aisi there:( Couldn't help but just sit back and ponder how very blessed me and my kids are to be surrounded by an amazing family. It was a HOT day but they all played so hard and good together. Uncle Jake may look a little "gruff" but I am always touched by his gentle and loving nature with all the kids. They ADORE him. Wish we could organize days like this more often.

Sparklers and glow stick night swimming

Mom had sparklers and it was fun to see the "magic" come alive in all the kids as they giggled with delight watching the sparklers. Then we put glow sticks in the pool with them and it never ceases to amaze me how content and happy children are with such simple things. I think as we age we loose that and it is something I wish I could capture and hold tight because I think it is one of the keys of true happiness. I am always grateful though when I get to view these experiences through the innocent eyes of my children. That in itself is one of the very best things about being a mother. I have come to enjoy that more in the last year than I ever have in the past as I have been able to just be a mother. It also makes me extremely grateful for my own mother who created that "magic" for me and my sibblings and carries it over to her grandchildren.

Welcome To The "Walnut Wagon"

This was the cutest thing. Although there is quite an age gap between Shine's boys, Trey and Tru, and my own kids, I am so grateful they play so well together. They played outside most everyday and in these photos they had created a resturaunt called the "Walnut Wagon". Trey and Tru have the biggest hearts and are so sweet to all my kids. Despite the occassional outburst of Brynlee calling Tru a big fat baby head, they really are so cute together. :)

Popsicles and Movie Time

It was pretty hot while everyone was here. The kids ate lots of Otter Pops and drank lots of Gatorade. This pic is pretty cute of Trey and Buggy. She adores him. The other one is when Uncle Jake treated the kids and took them to see the new Disney movie, BRAVE. They had such a good time. Thanks Jake!
